Hobbys Gun Thief was the 2002 NRHA Limited Open World Champion. He has been competitive for Open, Non Pro and Youth riders. He has won Champion and Reserve Champion titles in Ancillary classes at the toughest shows in the country, including the NRBC, NRHA Futurity, NRHA Derby, West Coast Spectacular, Reining By The Bay, and the California Challenge. In September 2004 he qualified for the NRHA Western Affiliate Championships in the Youth 13 and Under, ridden by a 12 year old girl in her first year of reining. This horse is sound and sane, easy to prepare and show, and could easily win another World title.
