As a child growing up on a 1,200 acre farm in New South Wales, Australia, Warwick Schiller was introduced to the world of horses by his father, Ray. A strong bull rider, Ray Schiller competed in Australian rodeos for 18 years, including the National Finals Rodeo, where he won the bull riding average in 1968. After retiring from competition, Ray continued to be active in the rodeo scene as a judge, where he became familiar with the Quarter Horse – a breed that had been imported from the United States and was hugely popular with the timed event contestants.

Warwick began riding and showing horses in 1976, and was drawn towards the Quarter Horse and the Western style of riding. He showed as a youth winning a number of Australian Titles, and then began a successful banking career. However, more and more his thoughts were drifting towards his lifelong dream of showing and riding horses in the United States. With a decision that would forever change his life, Warwick headed to America for a year-long furlough.

While in the States, Warwick worked for American Quarter Horse Association (AQHA) World Champion Don Murphy and flourished under his mentor’s exceptional training. When his year with Murphy came to an end, Warwick returned to Australia with the intention of returning to his old life. Yet, he was unable to stop thinking about his remarkable experience in the States working alongside Murphy and the horses he had loved his entire life. The temptation of pursuing horse training as a profession – and of continuing a blossoming romance he had begun with an American woman named Robyn – proved to be too much for him to resist. In 1992, Warwick returned to America and spent two more years working with Murphy before starting his own training business and marrying Robyn, with whom he has a seven year old son named Tyler.

As a professional horse trainer for more than 14 years, Warwick has enjoyed a very successful career. Warwick has trained and shown horses and coached riders to National Reining Horse Association (NRHA) World Champion and Reserve World Champion titles, as well as Champion and Reserve Champion wins at all of the major reining shows across the United States. These prestigious shows include the NRHA Futurity show, NRHA Derby show, National Reining Breeders Classic (NRBC), All American Quarter Horse Congress, Firecracker Classic, Texas Classic, West Coast Spectacular, Reining by the Bay, Hollywood Charity Reining and the California Reining Challenge.

A gifted trainer, Warwick brought his first-class talents exclusively to Devine Ranch in January 2004.
